Elevation drawings for interior or exterior spaces are produced in four directional views north, south east or west walls. The purpose for elevation draws help you to see just that wall with no obstruction. Walls that might have a specific installation like wall designs of focal walls need elevation drawings. It shows you a close look into what will be done to that section of the wall to determine if that will or will not work. And how the end result will look like when the job is completed.
An elevation section drawing shows a view of a structure or piece as though it had beed sliced in half or cut along another imaginary plane. This is useful as it gives a view through the space and surrounding structures typically across a vertical plane that can reveal the relationship between the different parts of the room or buildings surrounding.
